Saturday February 28th - Beginner Astrology Workshop 2:30-4:30pm

Explore the fascinating intersection of astronomy and mythology within your unique cosmic blueprint as we dive into the fundamentals of Astrology! Designed for beginners, Aleena will guide you through the basic framework of Astrology with an emphasis on Venus. Your Venus sign, placement, and configuration to other planets can tell us about your style of love, relationships, creativity, beauty, aesthetics, and approach to peace and relaxation.

We will dive into the most ancient myth of Venus: the Babylonian Goddess Inanna. We'll explore how her captivating Descent into the Underworld directly maps onto Venus’s astronomical synodic cycle, giving us insight into your unique creative superpowers. This knowledge, combined with your Venus sign, house placement, and aspects, will illuminate how you show up in relationships and what you are here to create. 

This first half of the workshop will be a presentation on key concepts, and in the second half we will go through each participant’s birth chart together to illustrate the interpretive principles learned. This will be an extremely stimulating evening of deepening your connection to your Self, and the Cosmos, in community with other intuitive, philosophical thinkers and seekers. We welcome skeptics and believers, the open-minded and curious, for all intuitive and magical people ready to go deep.

You will walk away with the printed slides of Aleena’s powerpoint, a copy of your birth chart, and other helpful worksheets to support your Astrological learning. You will have the opportunity to ask a professional Astrologer specific questions about your chart and receive a personalized interpretation. You will leave feeling inspired, connected on a cosmic level, and with a sense of awe and wonder at mystical and numinous nature of the universe.

About the Astrologer

Aleena is full time, professional Astrologer, Yoga Teacher, and Artist. She's been studying the stars since college, where she completed her bachelors of science in physics at Yale in 2016 with a thesis in cosmology, using stars to map the history of the universe and predict its future. Aleena has always taken symbolism very seriously, but it wasn't until later in her 20s that she found out her inclinations and approach to interpreting everything she learned in physics symbolically wasn’t some far out delusion, but a natural human impulse that has been practiced for at least 4,000 years across every culture. As an astrologer, Aleena specializes in timing: helping people to study their pasts in order to get a sense of their future using many ancient Hellenistic “Time Lord,” techniques. She has a special passion for helping creatives, change-makers and those who understand or are interested in the relationship between inner and outer world transformation.
