It’s time to dive into YOU ! 

In this beginner Astrology workshop, Aleena will show you how to read your birth chart as a symbol of who you are. We will be going over the basics of the 4 pillars of Astrology: the Zodiac signs, Planets, Houses, and Aspects. Then we’ll check out how the balance of these different elements plays out in your birth chart and your life. The birth chart can give us clues about: 

• Your personality 

• Your strengths and weaknesses 

• What areas of your life tend to get a lot of focus 

• Which tend to go well

• And which parts of life you might experience more challenges in 

If you feel called, participants are welcome to share personal examples of how they see their Astrology as a reflection of their lives so we can see how Astrology plays out in practice. The most effective way to learn Astrology is to look at charts and see examples of how different placements manifest, so in this way, we will all be helping each other learn. 

Astrology can have the very therapeutic effect of validating our nature and inclinations. Understanding who we are and what’s important to us can help us to move confidently in the direction of our purpose. In Astrology, we are all made up of the same pieces, but there can be much more emphasis on some energies over others, or a greater focus on certain parts of life versus others. Some people prioritize health, some children, some career, some pleasure. Astrologically, not one of these ways of being or areas of life is more important than the others. They are all vital components of life as we know and understand it. 

This self-reflective practice can improve our relationships, help us have compassion for people different from us, and find more purpose in life. 

About the Astrologer

Aleena is full time, professional Astrologer, Yoga Teacher, and Artist. She's been studying the stars since college, where she completed her bachelors of science in physics at Yale in 2016 with a thesis in cosmology, using stars to map the history of the universe and predict its future. Aleena has always taken symbolism very seriously, but it wasn't until later in her 20s that she found out her inclinations and approach to interpreting everything she learned in physics symbolically wasn’t some far out delusion, but a natural human impulse that has been practiced for at least 4,000 years across every culture. As an astrologer, Aleena specializes in timing: helping people to study their pasts in order to get a sense of their future using many ancient Hellenistic “Time Lord,” techniques. She has a special passion for helping healers, creatives, change-makers and those who understand or are interested in the relationship between inner and outer world transformation.
