A Beginner Astrology Workshop on how to Work with the Moon

The Moon is completely foundational in Astrology: so much of Astrological thinking is based off of the Moon’s cycle. No matter what form of Astrology you practice, no matter what tradition you come from, understanding the Moon is essential.

In this workshop, Aleena will be teaching on how to work with the Moon in relation to her cycles in real time with respect to your own birth chart. She will explain what to look out for during New Moons, full Moons, and how to augment your manifestation and self-reflection practices using Astrology and the Moon. 

If you are a practicing witch, the foundation for any magical practice is timing. It’s not just what you’re doing, but when is the right time do it. In this workshop, Aleena will show you how to optimize your timing for whatever spells you have up your sleeve. Not every new Moon is the right New Moon for every type of manifestation. You’ll also need to be aware of eclipse cycles, and have some basic interpretive principles to evaluate the condition of each full and new Moon to ensure that you’re not accidentally calling in the wrong energies. 

Participants will walk away from this workshop understanding how to work with the Moon as a tool for self-reflection and manifestation in conversation with their own birth charts. You will learn how to see what each full and new Moon is bringing up for you, *specifically,* by relating the Moon’s current location in space to your birth chart. 

You will also leave with a printed copy of Aleena’s powerpoint slides, a copy of your birthchart, and other helpful worksheets to support your Astrological learning. You will have the opportunity to ask a professional Astrologer specific questions about your birth chart and receive a personalized interpretation. 

We welcome skeptics and believers, the open-minded and curious, for all intuitive and magical people ready to go deep. This first half of the workshop will be a presentation on key concepts, and in the second half we will go through each participant’s birth chart together (if you would like) to illustrate the interpretive principles learned. You will leave feeling inspired, connected on a cosmic level, and with a sense of awe and wonder at mystical and numinous nature of the universe. 

About the Astrologer

Aleena is a full-time professional Astrologer, Yoga Teacher, and Artist. She's been studying the stars since college, where she completed her bachelors of science in physics at Yale in 2016 with a thesis in cosmology, using stars to map the history of the universe and predict its future. Aleena has always taken symbolism very seriously, but it wasn't until later in her 20s that she found out her inclinations and approach to interpreting everything she learned in physics symbolically wasn’t some far out delusion, but a natural human impulse that has been practiced for at least 4,000 years across every culture. As an astrologer, Aleena specializes in timing: helping people to study their pasts in order to get a sense of their future using many ancient Hellenistic “Time Lord,” techniques. She has a special passion for helping healers, creatives, change-makers and those who understand or are interested in the relationship between inner and outer world transformation.
